The steelwork that forms the cab bulkhead extends across the body in front of the entrance door. Removing the aluminium cladding revealed extensive rusting so this was grit blasted back to bare metal – about half done today.

Work today was limited by other vehicles needing my attention but I did manage to remove about eight of the remaining rusty screws left over from removing the rot from above the door.

Today I cut away the rotted section of the steel reinforcement over the entrance. This seems to provide strength to hold the cab roof and maybe the cab to the main part of the body. My intention is to weld in a replacement panel.
