Introduction – About this website

Welcome to the  “our Buses” website/blog.  This forms  the restoration diary of my AEC Regal Mark I, HUO 510 (formerly Devon General SR510) and a record of some of our travels with my Bristol MW5G, HHW 452D, former Bristol Omnibus 2636.  I created this site largely for my own record and amusement, however if you stumble across it please feel free to leave a comment.

AEC Regal details:

Chassis number: O6625520
Body by Metropolitan-Cammell-Weymann (MCW), 35 seats.
Body number: C9188

Bought new by Devon General and operated from 1948 until 1957.  Later with Double-Two Shirts, Wakefield and then into preservation.

Bristol MW details:

Chassis number 233090
Body  number : series 2 15794, Eastern Coach Works, 45 seats

Bought new by Bristol Omnibus Company and operated from October 1966 until July 1979.
