I was able to apply a second coat of brown to the stress panel today and also cut out another ply section for the offside boot interior lining.

I mixed up some red undercoat and the brown I got from Ridgeons to make approximately 2 litres of brown gloss to match the cab and boot interior finish. I then used a roller to apply a coat of this to the boot stress panel and am pleased with the result and coverage of the custom mix.

With the red oxide now dry I was able to spray the outer face of the new stress panel with aluminium paint today. In between coats I manufactured more plywood sections to line the nearside of the boot interior. This took several attempts to get a good fit.
