Applied Vactan to nearside chassis side member.   Also treated body framing where the entrance steps are mounted.   Applied more red oxide to step frame.  Completed welding  the entrance step enclosure.

Angle iron frame for stair treads

Stairwell steel enclosure ready for painting.

Painted angle iron entrance steps frame with second coat red oxide.  Removed  wooden guard rail from nearside of bus to allow easier access to the chassis side member.  Cleaned and sanded loose rust from side member from forward rear spring hanger to rearward front spring hanger  ready for Vactan application.

Prepared angle iron entrance step frame for painting.   Applied epoxy filler to top surface of top step frame to fill pits left after bladting away the rust.    Applied first coat of red oxide.

Did some filling and sanding on the front  bulkhead repair, need to make sure this is all ready for spraying with red oxide when I do the stair enclosure and the chassis.
